PAC Meeting Minutes for Thursday, September 10th

Dear Families,
Last night was our second Parent Advisory Committee (PAC) meeting for the new school year. We were excited to meet new parents that share our eagerness to be involved in our children’s education and provide the school with our support.
The main topic of discussion was the Fall Festival, which will be held on Friday, October 23rd from 3:00 - 6:00pm.
How can you get involved? You are welcome to participate in the following committees:
ø Set up committee: organizing and directing volunteers to various activities.
ø Food committee: ordering and coordinating timely delivery of food to the school.
ø Decorations committee: sharing creative ideas and making them happen by decorating with the Fall Festival’s theme.
ø Games committee: planning fun games to keep kids and adults entertained.
ø Clean up committee: helping out in leaving the school ready business.
Volunteer Sign-up sheets have been posted on all of the classroom doors as well as by the computer up front. Please sign-up and we will contact you.
You may also donate items that can be used for raffles (i.e. gift certificates for restaurants, Spas, Hotel, etc…) and share with us your ideas that can help us surpass our fundraising goals.

The second and equally important topic of the night was our Fall Fundraiser. The “Holiday Treasures” catalogs have been distributed and we encourage you to please participate in this activity. This fundraiser will help to raise money for special family events and equipment for the school, children and teacher appreciation. We will get 50% profit for each item sold. Please contact either the school administrators or our PAC e-mail to obtain a catalog if you have not received one. Sell…Sell…Sell…Our deadline is on Friday, September 18th.

First Prize Top Seller - $100 off tuition for 1 week
Second Prize - $50 Gift Certificate to Doral Ale House
Third Prize – Free Parents Night Out at Kids’ Corner
Fourth Prize – Free Hair Cut service at Kids’ Corner
The Classroom with the most parent involvement will have a party.
We are looking forward to an exciting new year together and hope that you all can attend our next meeting on Thursday, September 17 at 5:00pm…more details will follow in our next communication.
